In Massachusetts, you can be charged with drug trafficking and distribution if you are found in possession of a certain amount and type of controlled substances, or if you are found with drugs and paraphernalia that can be used to distribute drugs.

Trafficking in cocaine can result in anywhere from three to 20 years in prison, and trafficking in heroin carries a prison term of anywhere from five to 20 years in prison.
