Nate Silver joined the firm as a criminal defense attorney in 2015. He is well-equipped to handle matters in the state’s district courts. Attorney Silver is an integral part of the team on all cases involving major felonies in the state and federal courts. He zealously protects the rights of clients by finding novel solutions to complex and technical legal issues. His written advocacy skills help clients achieve favorable results on dispositive motions, plea bargain negotiations, and sentencing. Attorney Silver prides himself on fighting for clients on appeal in both the Massachusetts state appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He also co-authored a presentation on defending sex crimes at a conference of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Attorney Silver graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School, where he was a Senior Editor on the Boston College Law Review. During law school, he interned with the New England Innocence Project, where he pursued paths of exoneration for wrongfully convicted individuals. He was also a summer associate at Day Pitney LLP, where he worked on a broad range of litigation matters. Attorney Silver gained further experience during law school in the Boston College Defender Clinic, representing clients in criminal cases in the Dorchester Division of the Boston Municipal Court. Attorney Silver completed his undergraduate studies at Suffolk University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in United States History.
